“Five Star Hospitality”

Stayed January 2017
Kathryn and Peter are two of those hosts you will always remember. Not only do they open their beautiful home, offer helpful advice, serve a great breakfast, share wonderful conversations over a cup of tea – or a glass of wine, but they do that special thing: they open their hearts. Our stay in Pacific View turned quickly into a stay with friends. This is very much a bed & breakfast & be part of the family place. The view is great and the rooms are tastefully appointed. Most of all we loved the breakfast – with tailored menus and tasty starts to the
day. There is much to explore in and around Coromandel. Follow Kathryn & Peter’s advice and you will discover not only the local highlights, but the one or other path off the beaten track as well. If we have the chance, we will definitely go back.

“Great hospitality, brilliant location.”

Stayed January 2017
We had a terrific two-night stay with Peter and Kathryn on our recent trip to New Zealand. They are such friendly and helpful people and go to so much trouble to ensure you get the most out of your stay. The room was spacious and so well equipped, everything you could want to drink, excellent en suite facilities and books
on local birds etc. Kathryn makes the most delicious muesli, I guarantee you’ll love it. Their property has great
views over the ocean and the local town has many eating places. The Coromandel has so much to offer and our main regret was not staying in the area for longer; three nights is an absolute minimum. Peter gave us some great tips on beaches and tours and places to visit. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pacific View to anyone and would love to return one day. Many thanks to both Kathryn and Peter for making our stay such an
enjoyable one.

Fantastic place! Incredibly sweet Host Party. Homemade breakfast. The hospitable and welcoming. Helpful with arranging excursions and recommend the best. If you are planning a trip to New Zealand, do not hesitate to book at Pacific View B&B.

“Home from Home”

Stayed February 2017
Peter and Kathryn make your stay at their home extra special. Both have an extensive knowledge of things to see and do and can help you plan your day/s. We were fortunate to spend 3 nights at Pacific View and enjoyed all aspects of our stay. Our room was well appointed and even had complimentary items for guests, my favorite were the homemade biscuits and of course a drop of port to finish off the evening. Thank you to both Peter and Kathryn for taking the extra care that makes a stay memorable. Highly recommended. Room Tip: Top floor room has wonderful views and a lovely balcony

“Fabulous B&B in charming Coromandel town”

Stayed February 2017
The most gracious hosts in the Coromandel also have the best views in
Whangamata. Pacific View B&B is a lovely home in an area of private residences overlooking the town and harbor. It is spotless and lovely and full of amenities, and Kathryn and Peter go well out of their way to make guests feel welcome and informed about all the nearby attractions and fun places to go. Additionally, Kathryn’s breakfasts are delicious!

“Beautiful B&B with incredible view!!!”

Stayed February 2017
We spent 2 awesome nights with Kathryn and Peter! We were invited for pre-dinner drinks with them the first night and had a fantastic time getting to know them a little, and enjoying the view outside! This is really an ideal setting and a beautiful home with great hosts! The bedrooms are beautiful and fully equipped with everything you’ll need. In the morning, breakfast was delicious! The following morning, Kathryn went above and beyond the call of duty and prepared us a breakfast for the road when we had to leave early to drive 3 hours plus to the Waitomo Caves. Both Peter and Kathryn helped us find the best route to the Caves when our itinerary didn’t provide adequate directions. This is one place that’s a “can’t miss” if you’re planning to visit the
Coromandel! We will definitely stay here again, preferably longer next time! Love this place!!!

“Deserves all the praise and more”

Stayed March 2017
A lot of places claim to offer a homely welcome but with Kathryn and Peter you really do feel like you have arrived to stay with old friends you’ve not seen for a while. From the welcoming cuppa with homemade cake to the final outstanding breakfast and farewell photo this is a delightful experience. Drop them a mail before you arrive and Kathryn will book you a restaurant – we left it to her and the food was excellent. You may get invited to have a pre-dinner drink and chat with them. Add to that the magnificent rooms and views – it does what it says – and you have pretty much the perfect B&B. It is well worth setting the alarm to catch the sunrise. This place is ranked No 1 for a reason. Whangamata is a great base to explore The Coromandel and Kathryn and Peter’s is the place to stay.

“Outstanding Hospitality”

Stayed March 2017
Kathryn and Peter offer incomparable care of and service to their clients. On our first night, after hours of hair – raising driving through deluges, we arrived in time for happy hour with other guests. Peter then offered to chauffeur both couples to our respective restaurants in the pouring rain. We could not change the 3 days of wet weather but K&P helped us to remain sunny and dry.

“On the Band Wagon”

We spent 2 nights with Kathryn and Peter at their fabulous B & B. This property is clean, modern, well appointed, and in a great location overlooking the ocean. The hospitality is second to none and what great breakfasts they serve. So, do your best but you will not find a better place to stay in Whangamata. We had the upstairs room and what a view.
